Which step is required before creating a new WLAN on a Cisco 3500 series WLC?

  • 0

Hi,

Please mates, i need help to answer this question. However, I want to add something; whoever writes questions for the CCNA exams are absolutely ignorant in how they write questions or they are being deliberate in trying to fool the test takers, which is sad.

I face a lot of questions that are very confused and frustrated !

Which step is required before creating a new WLAN on a Cisco 3500 series WLC?

  • A. Create a new SSID.
  • B. Build or have an SNMP server available.
  • C. Build or have a RADIUS server available.
  • D. Create a new VLAN interface.

We are of the same mind. Besides, based on my understanding, I believe that only D will work. But honestly, I’m not sure about it.

D is the right answer, each new WLAN configured on a Cisco 3500 series WLC needs its own VLAN interface.

It is required that a new VLAN interface be created first before a new WLAN can be created. Thus, I see that this is obvious and it is one of the simplest questions.

If I remember correctly, SSID doesn’t have a relation with the creating of WLAN, and it is mandatory to create a VLAN interface first before start creating new WLAN.
