I personally use the FM WhatsApp and I recommend using it as it contains more features than the official one, it is developed to offer you the same WhatsApp servers with your desired interface and features.
No, the FM WhatsApp is not available on Google play store, but you can download it from a third-party website. Just be cautious and use an antivirus before you start download it as these kinds of websites can contain viruses and malware.
There is a difference between the two WhatsApps, some of the features are : it can hide the blue thick , the last seen and the whatsapp media from gallery, and you can also set a password for your whatsapp.
What I like more in FMWhatsApp is that you can choose who can call you, it offers an allowance to choose the person from your contact list who can call you, and You can also deselect all you don’t want to call you.
